Effective March 6, 2026, Marsh Island Psychiatry, PLLC will be closing and Michelle Obenauer, DNP, PMHNP will be transitioning to a  practice site run by Katahdin Valley Health Center (KVHC). Effective March 9, 2026, she will become a KVHC provider.

All of our current patients are invited to continue to be a patient of Michelle’s and transition with her to KVHC. The fact that KVHC offered to allow all of Michelle’s patients the opportunity to transition with her played an important role in our decision. We are grateful to KVHC for allowing Michelle to make this transition without disrupting patient care. 

If you wish to continue with KVHC, please call the KVHC office at 207-401-3645 to establish care with Michelle at KVHC.  KVHC and Michelle’s team will continue to provide you with the quality care you are accustomed to and more. The current plan is for Michelle to start in KVHC’s Dover-Foxcroft office and transition to Corinth after that facility is finished. KVHC does have some telehealth options available, but you must speak directly with them for details about their telehealth options.

For patients who are unable to travel to KVHC, Marsh Island Psychiatry, PLLC has confirmed that Art of Wellness Mental Health Care, LLC (artofwellnesscare.com) is currently accepting new patients and has begun seeing patients in-person in the greater Bangor area. We can provide you with a referral to their office.

Current patients have received a message in the patient portal with a link for them to request their records and tell us how they would like to continue care.

If you wish to transfer your care to a different provider, please contact us through to release your records before March 9, 2026.  The most direct way to request your records is to follow the instructions below:

Requesting your medical records

Step 1 — Log on to the Patient Portal.

Step 2 — Click “My Health” on the left side of the page--The My Health page should be displayed.

Step 3 — Click the blue “Health Records” button on the top of the screen.

Step 4 — Choose a timeframe for the records you would like sent.

Step 5 — Enter the email address where you would like records sent (twice) and press the blue "“Send Message” button.

A zip file with your records will be sent to the email address that you entered…you are done!

If you are unable to request your records through this process, you can send us a message through the patient portal.
